Juniors:
Close game in the first half with a good goal by Sam Leech. The Defence was steady with Patrick Phelan in Goal with good backs play with Adam Carroll, Scott Finnerty, Kyle Lowry and Orin Meehan. In mid Field was Thomas Devine and Sam Leech playing very well. Up front was Connor Cushin, Neil Robbins, Jordan Egan, Evan Cronin and Cian Fleming all trying very hard. Super Sub Eoin Phelan had to go off injured.

The Boers V Bogtown
Score 4-1 to 2-3

Bogtown started very well with points from Ciarán Doyle and Seán Tierney. James Moran scored a point for the Boers. Paul Lanier scored a great goal for Bogtown, before James Moran crashed the ball into the net for The Boers.

Conor Dolan came into his own in the second half with 2 goals and Ciaran Hartnett finished the game off with a great point and a great win for the Boers.

Lee Tierney opened with a goal in the first half for BogTown to be met with a goal from Conor Cushen for the Boers. A great save by goalie Michael Daly for Bog town left it a draw match at half time. In the second half a pass from Aodhan Moran allowed determined captain Lee Tierney score his hat trick followed by a goal from Aaron Wynne giving BogTown the lead. Patrick Phelan put a stop to Luke Bracken adding another score for Bogtown, Dion Conroy and Adam Grennan worked well in defence, a goal from Thomas Devine for the boers left it 4 - 2 at the end.

BogTown V`s The Boers

BogTown Dominated the first half of this game With scores coming from Paul Lanier And Lee Tierney. With great display of determination by Sean Tierney and Ciaran Doyle both scoring in the second half but BogTown lacking in numbers and great defending by Gerard Hackett and Kieran Hartnett playing well in mid field and scores coming from Conor Dolan and Jimmy Moran, the boers finished stronger to record a win.

Erry Juniors V The Green Juniors (1-3 to 1-3)

Erry started the first half with great determination and team play. The first score for Erry came from the captain Cormac Delaney, who on the night gave a great performance, with great help from the defence of Kai Dunne and Barry Egan. Blake Ryan took a great ball from Calvin Bracken and scored a much needed goal. The second half started fast and furious with Cormac Delaney scoring 2 more points bringing the match to a draw and proved unlucky at the end to hit the post which could have secured a win. Also best on the night was Jack Walsh, Cian Handy, Jamie Rowan and Noah Egan.

Erry Seniors V The Green Seniors (7-3 to 2-1)

The Erry senior team got off to a flying start with a goal coming from Andrew Fitzpatrick who on the night scored a total of 4 goals. The captain Daryl O'Brien proved too strong for the opposition at centre field by scoring 1 goal and 2 points. In defence Dean Larkin, Sean Fleming and Edward Cullen proved very solid, with another fine performance by the goal keeper Conor Minnock. The second half brought 2 more goals from Ciaran Ennis and Cormac Delaney, and a point from Edward Cullen, which makes this a second win for the Erry seniors.

On the second night of the league The Town played Raheen in a fairly one sided game,as The Town were missing a few key players, despite this there were some good individual performaces, Stephen Roe made some fantastic saves in goal, Marcus Dalton and Stephen Falsey worked tirelessly in mid field. Cian o'Brien Jake Colleran and John Guilfoyle were kept very busy in the back line. Jack Devine, Brendan Greene and Myles Handy worked hard in the forward line.

Brother Urban League Senior Grade: The Town Team: Marc Newman(3-0), Cathal O'Meara(0-1), Connor Murray (0-2), Lorcan Cornally, Jordan Walsh, Scott WEldon (0-1), Patrick Gaffey, Chad Tobella, James Minnock, Marcus Dalton, Stephen Roe.

This was by far one of the best games of the league so far The Town came out with a narrow one point victory over raheen in an end to end game. lorcan Cornally played well in goal despite being under severe pressure, for the second week in a row Patrick Gaffey had a great game at full back, he was helped by James Minnock and Chad Tobella. Marc Newman had another huge game and scored a hat trick of goals, he was partnered by Cian Strolla in the mid field who also played well. Conor Murray played as a third midfielder and scored some important points, Cathal O'Meara had another good game and got the opening score. Scott Weldon played well at full forward and was a good target man and got an important point. Stephen Roe won any ball that went into him. In another workman like performance Marcus Dalton caused alot of problems for the Raheen Defence

Girls: Kilbride v Kilcoursey - Score Full time = 6 goals 2 points v 6 goal 0 point
Excellent play from both sides made for a very entertaining game. Kilbride opened the scoring with two goals from Alannah Clarke and a well worked goal from Shannon Wynne. Kilcoursey came back fighting with goals from Cara Sheridan and Emma Kate Devine to level the score at half time. Hard work in the second half from Ellie Cronin, Hannah Dunne, and Hannah and Rebecca Simpson kept Kilcoursey in the game but Alannah Clarke was showing good form by scoring another two goals to keep Kilbride ahead. Kilcoursey again responded with great play from midfielders Sorcha Handy and Olein Fleming but it was not enough to keep Clodagh Sheridan and Fia Quinn from kicking points from play to seal victory for Kilbride. A very enjoyable game to watch and well done to all!

Woodfield girls put up a brave challenge against Aughamore with only half their team. Clodagh McKeon and Ciara Johnson worked hard by playing both ends of the pitch. Clodagh McKeon scored a well deserved goal in the second half. Niamh McKeon and Zoe Murray proved they are very talented players and Robyn Bracken showed great skill . Kelly Heffernan and Rebecca Larkin worked hard in goal and Tianna Jane Maher, Kayla O Meara, Katie Healy, Tierna Baggot and Kelly Rudge showed great improvement. Well done to all the girls.

With the aid of a stiff breeze the Green team led Bogtown at half time 2-2 to 1-0 with Eoin Cowan scoring 1-1 and Jordon Berry 1-1 ,in the second half Eoin Cowan scored two further goals , to leave the final score 4-2 to 4-2

This was a very exciting game with no shortage of skill on either teams Adam Kelly scored a point for the Green in the opening few minutes. lee Tierney then scored a goal for Bog Town, Josh Cushen followed with a goal for the green giving them the lead at half time. With Bog Town down in numbers and missing Michael Daly in goals despite a few great blocks from lee Tierney and superb defending by Dion Conroy, Adam Kelly scored another goal Josh Cushen ran riot for the Green scoring a further three points. Lee Tierney scored a goal for Bog Town leaving the final score 2goals 4 points to the green 2 goals to Bog Town

Due to a small turnout for the Erry team, Raheen proved too strong on the night, with great effort from Kai Dunne, Alex Hall, Jamie Rowan and Noah Egan. Blake Ryan gave a great performance scoring all of Erry's two scores. Barry Egan and Cormac Delaney tried in vain but could not break down the Raheen defence. Also good on the night were Jack Walshe and Cian Cornally.

Erry Seniors V Raheen Seniors (6-3 to 1-1)
Unlike the junior match this proved to be the match of the night with once again Darryl O'Brien (1-1) and Andrew Fitzpatrick (2 goals) dominating midfield. On the night the Erry defence of Sean Fleming, Ciaran Ennis, Nathan Sheridan and Edward Cullen (1 point) proved too strong for the Raheen forwards. Yet again Conor Minnock in goals made some much needed saves. Up front Barry Egan and Cormac Delaney who proved too hot to handle scoring 3 goals and a point made sure that Erry kept up their 100% record in this years Brother Urban league.

The Boers V The Town: Junior.
The Boers played against the wind in the first half and went in 2goals and 1 point to no score at half time. In the second half the Boers played very well with the use of the wind with Cian Fleming in goals and Adam Carroll at full back, Sam Leech scored 1-2 , one very good side line kick, and Thomas Devine scoring 1-1. Patrick Phelan scored two great goals. Kyle Lowry, Oran Meehan, Jordan Egan, with the aid of Evan Cronin and Eoin Phelan the Boers were unstoppable in the second half.

St Brigid's Credit Union Bro Urban League. 13/07

With Just one week of games left in the ST BRIGIDS CREDIT UNION BRO URBAN LEAGUE teams are still very close and it is with great excitement that we wait the results from our last round. Though there is a top team in Senior Boys and Junior Boys the results on Tuesday 20th will decide who their opposition is. Erry Seniors are ahead on 8 points and are through to the final, with the rest of the group very close on points it is leading to speculation on "Play Offs" in this group to see who the other finalist is.

In the Junior League Raheen have won all their games to date and are leading the table, and through to the final, with second place The Green playing them on Tuesday 20th,The Green need to win to secure their place in the final, Bogtown just a point behind, play the The Town and could upset the final pairing.
The Fixtures for the Girls League on Tuesday 20th July, could leave us with the two finalist or playoffs. Kilbride play Aughamore, who top the group, but if Kilbride win they join them on 4 points. Woodfield and Kilcoursey play the other game and depending on the result it could end up with a three way play off. In our report next week we hope to bring you all the details of the ST BRIGIDS CREDIT UNION BRO URBAN LEAGUE Finals on 8th August 2010.

Report: Adam Kelly ensured the win for the Green with 2 goals and Josh Cushen chipped in with another. However, the score of the game was a brilliant point from Ryan Walshe. Brothers Dylan and Conor Taylor along with Matthew Fleming and Goalie Christopher Buckley kept their opponents scoreless for the match. Forwards Alex Delaney, Conor Doyle and Eoin Gaffey had a good game and as usual the hard-working Adam McCloskey put in some crucial tackles.

The Green recorded their first win in the Brother Urban League , They got off to a great start with Captain Conor Egan scoring a goal , he added a second just before half time, in the second half Nathan Bracken scored a great point but in a tight finish Adam Mc Cluskey scored the winning point final score The Green 2-2 The Bores 2-1

The town played erry in their third game of this years brother urban league and came out with an unlucky four point defeat.This was a close and very enjoyable game with some fantastic scores taken by both sides.The Town dominated the first half and were unlucky hitting the post and having two goal chances cleared off the line.lorcan cornally made one of the saves of the tournament early in the first half.Patrick Gaffey was very solid at full back and was well helped by James Minnock.Conor Murrey had a hugh game and was all over the field.Yet again Marc Newman had a Super game at mid field.In the forward line Stephen Roe played well Scott Weldon chipped in with some vital scores.
Cathal O Meara nearly broke the cross bar with a rocket of a shot in the dying minutes had that gone in a win might
have came the towns way.Final score: The Town 4-3 Erry 6-1

Bog Town V`s Raheen 2:3 to 4:4
Despite the bad weather players from both teams turned up in good spirits eager to get going. Jack Reynolds opened the game scoring a point for Raheen followed closely by a goal from Eoin Gavin who was fantastic on the night scoring a total of 4:1 for Raheen. Lee Tierney showing great determination scored three points for Bog Town and sent a great pass into Aaodhan moran who finished it with a goal. Ben Bracken who was playing well in the forward line for Bog Town came off after injury,
Aaron Wynne scored a goal for Bog Town. Jack Murphy and Reynolds scored a point for Raheen giving them the victory.Adam Grennan, Michael Daly, Alex Egan, Ben Kennedy all played well for BogTown.

Bog Town V`s Raheen 6:3 to2:1

The first half of this game was very even with a 2:1 draw at half time after goals scored from Ciaran Doyle, Lee Tierney And a point from Paul Lanier for Bog Town. Scoring for Raheen were Thomas Dolan a goal and a point, Adam Owens scored a goal.The second half was dominated by Bog Town who displayed great team work. Lee Tierney scored a further two goals, Sean Tierney scored a goal and a point, Ciaran Doyle and paul Lanier scored a goal each. Aaron Tuohy pulled off some great saves in goal and Raheen were unable to score in the second half giving Bog Town a well deserved win. Playing well for Bog Town also were Euan Nagle, Alex Egan, Jack Flanagan, Aaodhan Moran

Erry Junior V The Town Junior (6-3 to 2 goals)
After last weeks disappointment Erry came back with a fighting spirit and excellent team play. With fine performances in the back line from Kai Dunne, Barry Egan and Calvin Bracken and the goal keeper David Higgins, they managed to keep the opposition to 2 goals. Up front Blake Ryan who notched up yet another goal, alongside Alex Hall, Jack Walshe and Noah Egan proved very strong on the night. In midfield Cian Handy played very well with the help of their Captain Cormac Delaney who scored 5 goals and 3 points, gaining Erry's first win of the League.
Best for The Town were Stephen Falsey and Stephen Roe. The team put up a very brave fight in the first half but Erry were much too strong for them in the second half.

Erry Senior V The Town Senior (6-2 to 4-4)

This was Erry's toughest task to date, even though they were missing Dean Larkin and Edward Cullen, the team still managed to gain an impressive win over The Town. Once again Daryl O'Brien (Capt, 2 goals) and Andrew Fitzpatrick (3-1) proved very strong at centre field with great interaction with the defence and the forwards. In goals Conor Minnock had a very busy night but kept his cool. Sean Fleming who pulled out his best performance to date, made sure that this was Erry's fourth successive win, alongside Nathan Sheridan and Barry Egan. Up front Ciaran Ennis scored a much needed goal and created havoc for The Town defence, alongside Cormac Delaney who scored a point.
