Following there victory in the national scor finals in Killarney in 2009, The Clara ballad group were honoured by an invitation from the president of Ireland to perform at a garden party to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the GAA. On the day the group preformed "Easy and Slow by Jim McCann which went down very well with the many dignitaries's and invited guests who attended.

This was the highlight of what was a very successful year for the group who have numerous titles to there name. The group were very proud to have represented there club and county at this very special occasion.

Historical Back to Back All Ireland Win

In April 2010 John Scanlon, Paul Scanlon, Collette Rabbitte,Aishling Cornally and Maura Eivers headed to the Glen Eagle Killarney as the Reigning All Ireland Ballad Group Champions. Under great Pressure and against very talented opposition they triumphed. Who would have thought they could top their 2009 victory but with a fabulous rendition of Galway Bay and a great version of the Shane McGowan Song The Broad Majestic Shannon they were in a different League and the judges agreed.
The supporters had a great weekend and a great victory Celebration night in the Glen Eagle the chairman Michael Sheridan and his wife Angela joined in a very proud and unforgettable achievement for the club

Scor na nog 2010

The junior scor local round was held in the Gaa Centre on Thursday night, there was a good turn out with entries in all catogories with the exception of Instumental Music

Set Dancers all represented the club in the County Finals in Birr on Saturday Night, while disapointingly Clara had no winners, all the participants did the club proud on the night.
