The Club crest features the cross of St.Brigid, historically linked with the town of Clara which encompasses Kilbride - "Cill Bride" which was the site of one of the earliest churches in the midlands area setup by St. Brigid. The crest also represents the club colours of black and white, reputedly first used by the club on 1st May 1886 in a Hurling Tournament in Athlone. Clara represented King's County and Leinster and played Athenry of Galway and Connaught. |
