Intermediate and Junior Hurling 2009

Intermediate and junior hurling started back in Parc Phroinsias on Tuesday the 27^th of January. A meeting held at our new headquarters which 26 people attended.

It was chaired by William Flynn who was delighted to see 16 new faces joining Clara adult hurlers. William is manager again this year with Pat Lowry and David Gavin as selectors.

They had a great year last year only losing out in the semi-final to a strong Birr side in the closing stages of the game. (2-12 to 0-12).

Training started on Thursday the 29^th with 26 players in attendance. Clara will be fielding a Junior B team this year and its great to see it's return, as this is the gateway to Intermediate hurling and an important link to our young hurlers coming through.

We wish them the very best of luck for the coming year and urge all our Clara hurlers to attend the training and if there’s someone that you know who used to hurl whether it was last year or five years ago bring them along. We will keep you updated with the latest news from the training camp...
